Canada Express Entry (CEE)

The Canada express entry program is one of the most transparent immigration option for foreign skilled professionals.

It is completely online and applies to individuals from every part of the world.

The express entry is categorized into:

  1. Federal Skilled Trades
  2. Canadian Experience Class
  3. Federal Skilled Workers

To be selected through this program, you need to submit an “expression of interest.”

After which you can apply under any of the listed skilled occupation category – 0, A, and B.

The government evaluates every applicant’s profile based on a comprehensive ranking system (CRS).

Applicants who meet the CRS cut-off will receive an invitation to apply for a Canada pr visa.

Steps to Apply for The Express Entry Program

  1. Open an Express Entry profile

The first step is to open an express entry profile. This includes your name, age, education, working experience, language ability, among others.

You will get an aggregate CRS score based on the information provided. Once you meet the set score, go ahead to submit your profile in the pool.

2. Complete your Educational Credential Assessment

If you studied outside of Canada, you should get your educational credentials assessed. This attests that your educational credentials meet the acceptable standard in Canada.

3: Complete your language ability tests

The next step is to submit the required language test result. If you have this already, brilliant. Else, you need to take the English or French language test from the designated bodies (TOEFL, IELTS, PFT, TEF, etc.)

You will require at least 6 bands in your IELTS test. That is equivalent to CLB-7. And the test result validity is 2 years.

4: Estimate your CRS score

Once the profile is in the pool, the next step is to estimate your CRS score. How high or low this turns out depend on the information you provided – with supporting documents.

5: Invitation to Apply (ITA)

If your profile meets the set cut-off for a particular draw, you will get an invitation from the government to apply for a pr visa.

Afterward, you can start the necessary documentations to get your visa stamped by the IRCC.
